Welcome to The Warriors Mindset!

This series has been a long time in the making and I’m excited to finally share it with you! Let me ask you a question, How do you handle situations? Especially hard ones? Now you definitely don’t have to tell me your answer; you are more than welcome if you feel comfortable! We all react to things differently, But how does the Bible tell us to react? Are you uncomfortable? I definitely was when I started this! We will be going through different areas of the Bible and discussing things like fear, anger, sadness, grief, anxiety, and more! Grab your Bible feel free to add any discussion you would like in the comments or you can message me! In our first section we will be discussing how we can survive our everyday life. Easy enough right? Kinda, lol. Warriors are well known for what? Going once! Twice! ARMOUR! Over the next few weeks we will be looking at different areas of the Armour of God. Now I’ll be doing it a little out of order but I encourage you to read Ephesians 6:11-18 if you are able! I will be using the KJV version for all my verses. I will end this small introduction with verse 11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. How often do you wear your armour daily? See you soon for part 2.

The Warriors Mindset: Belt of truth. Ephesians 6:14

I hope you had the chance to read in Ephesians! Let's start this series with truth. How can we go about our daily lives wearing The Belt of truth? I am honestly surprised at the amount of times this has gotten me personally. Let me explain a recent situation I encountered. I was a supervisor at my previous job and had a very good friendship with my boss. He is truly an amazing friend of mine! Well one day my fellow supervisor decided to place a bug in my ear; A very inappropriate bug. She claimed that our friendship looked more like a relationship. You can imagine my anger when she accused a married woman of trying to hook up with her married boss. I was on the phone with him for over an hour venting, ranting, and just straight up getting my full anger out to him. The next day I didn’t even want to be at work. I sat literally fuming at my desk. I sat and tried to listen to worship while doing the morning work to try and calm my now angry spirit. That didn’t help. I tried praying and practicing all the ways I could possibly get revenge and The Lord stopped me in the middle and said that revenge is HIS. I felt an instant shift in my mood. I wrote out some Bible verses to calm me and kept them in my desk so I could look at them anytime I needed a reminder. I spent that day walking in the truth I knew, God would handle my situation and I definitely did NOT have romantic feelings for my friend. So what truth should we be walking in? Well definitely our truth in Jesus. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me. Having Jesus as our Savior IS our TRUTH. Living every day walking by the promises of our Heavenly Father. He will not leave us or forsake us. He will go before us in battle. He has cast our sins as far as

the East is from the West. He will alway have our back even when we don’t understand it. The more we walk in these Truths we know, the easier it is to confidently put on our Armour Belt and begin the process for a battle. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. Psalms 25:5. See you soon for the next section.

The Warriors Mindset: Helmet of Salvation

Well last week we talked about truth! Today we will be on the topic of Ephesians 6:17. We are going to talk about the Helmet of Salvation! Now I know this is out of order but just trust God in this. I don’t know the purpose behind them being out of order but he does! So what does it mean to wear a helmet of Salvation? I actually find it very interesting that the Helmet is Salvation and not Truth. I can completely understand the concept of surrounding your head with Truth, but Salvation? Now that threw me for a twist. However the more you truly think about it, the more it makes sense why we would want to surround our brain with salvation. That is one area the enemy will always try to get us to question. When we question our salvation the rest begins to fall apart. When we revisit Jesus telling us He is the way, the truth, and the light it's clear he is not telling us this for no reason. When He continues with “no one gets to the Father but through me” we better be listening! Romans 6:23 “ For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord''. Our salvation is so important because without it, the devil will just continue to cloud the truth that you know. When we apply our Salvation to the Truth and the promise of God that we are forgiven the devil begins to lose firepower against you. Our truth is that Jesus is our Lord and Savior; our Salvation is by His blood he shed for a sinner like me; With that Blood we have authority over the enemy. By protecting our mind with our Salvation it is easier to continue to walk in the Truth with our belt on. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the Breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 1 Thessalonians 5: 8-10. See you soon for the next part.

The Warriors Mindset: Breastplate of Righteousness

Let's dive into the Breastplate of Righteousness! We are still in Ephesians 6. Now this one can be a struggle for some. We must not put on a Breastplate of Self Righteousness. It has to be from the Lord! Proverbs 21:21 He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour. I know sometimes it can be hard to get rid of self righteousness but if we go into battles relying on self, the

devil will have us. I know it may seem confusing now the order of how this is being done but I promise as we go you will begin to see the reasons! So where does the root of your righteousness lie? 1 Timothy 6:11-12 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed before many witnesses. Are you fighting for the right reasons? Is your goal to glorify God and to pursue the plans for your life? It's really easy to get caught in the “me, me, me’s'' of today. Myself included! But how can we get out of this self righteousness and into the righteousness of God? First we must seek him. WE MUST die to self and make sure our walk is in Him and following the path He has planned. Everything we face needs to be You and God against the enemy. How is God going to help you if you keep telling Him your ways are better than His? Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
